The digital mental health research program

Our research program is building sophisticated digital technologies through co-design, that permit a young person, their family and carers to be at the centre of clinical care and equal partners with clinicians in key treatment decisions.

The digital solutions we develop improve the collection, analysis and feedback of mental health information to change the way services and clinicians manage youth mental health problems.

The goal of our work is to use digital technologies make youth mental health care more personalised and responsive to a young persons needs.

The Youth Mental Health and Technology Team, led by Professor Ian hickie, puts young people at the centre of their own care, and partners with health services to develop innovative treatments for those aged 12-25 with emerging mental health disorders.
